January 2007 Meeting Notice and Event
PETE CORPSTEIN TO BE PRESENTED THE SIGNIFICANT SIG AWARD
Brother Peter J. Corpstein, Arizona ’49, distinguished former
long-time member of the Arizona State House of Representatives and
Senate will be presented the Significant Sig award at the January
meeting of the Phoenix Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter.
The meeting is set for Wednesday, January 10 at the Phoenix City
Grille restaurant located at 5816 N. 16th Street (southwest corner
with Bethany Home Rd.) in Phoenix. Drinks at 6:00pm, dinner at 6:30
and our program at 7:00.

Funeral Services for Dr. Robert G. Beers will be held on Friday
January 5, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Palo Christi Presbyterian Church,
3535 E. Lincoln Blvd. Paradise Valley, AZ 85253

February 7 (the first Wednesday of the month) – THE FIFTH ANNUAL
SIGMA CHI ALUMNI SWEETHEART VALENTINE PARTY IS PLANNED FOR NEXT MONTH
(There will be no regular Alumni Chapter meeting in February)
Brother Bill Gibney and his wife Cheryl Parker are once more hosting
our February Sweetheart Party at their lovely north Phoenix home.
This will be a Valentine’s Day Party for Brothers and their sweethearts.
HERE ARE THE DETAILS:
DATE: Wednesday, February 7, 6:00 to 9:00PM
LOCATION: Bill and Cheryl’s home at 4122 E. Mission Lane in Phoenix
DIRECTIONS: Shea Blvd. to 40th Street. South on 40th Street to
Mission Lane (approximately .8 mile south of Shea). East to 4122
DINNER: Will be catered and include beer and wine
